Microsoft has announced plans to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, available for Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7.
Those who choose to download Windows 8 Pro Internet will pay 39.99 euros, while the DVD will cost 69.99 Euro. The upgrade can be installed on systems running Windows XP/Vista/7 original.
The upgrade prices are significantly lower than those set out in the transition from XP to Windows 7, namely: 49 Euro for version respectively EUR 99 for DVD.
The offer will be valid from the date of release (estimated to be in October this year) and will last until January 1, 2013. Those who buy a new PC with Windows 7 and upgrade to Windows 8, will pay even less: 15 Euros.
